This is a series of gameplay vids I'm doing highlighting overlooked games for the PS2. It's really hard to describe Under The Skin. It's just one of those totally weird, and totally fun Japanese games that makes no sense. You are an alien who runs around cities disguised at a human, who set traps and do special attacks on unsuspecting humans who then drop coins for you to collect. It sounds weird, because it is weird, but it's still a lot of fun. The single player game has you competing against other aliens in each map with different objectives depending on the level. For the most part, the objectives are usually collect 500 coins in the allotted time, or collect more coins than your rival in the allotted time. Each level has it's own unique theme (including a level based in Raccoon City where you try to steal coins from Nemesis) with it's own unique dangers. While disguised as a human, if you take two hits, you lose your disguise, and a number of your coins that your opponent can then take. Once you lose your disguise, you have to make your way to moving UFO points that transform you into whatever human form you chose by abducting one of the inhabitants of the map. Depending on who you abduct, depends on what items you receive in you new disguise. You can see what items each character has before you abduct them. When in human form, you can abduct one other person so you have one on deck for when you run out of items for your current disguise. Like I said, it's a wacky ...
